Lionel Messi dreamed of winning the Champions League at Paris St-Germain
Messi is confident that PSG have players who can win the Champions League
Lionel Messi says he dreamed of winning the Champions League, after moving to Paris St-Germain, adding: "I think we have players who can win the trophy here."
The 34-year-old Argentina captain has won four Champions Leagues in Barcelona, his last being at the club in 2015.
PSG are aiming to win their first Champions League title after losing the final to Bayern Munich in 2020.
"My dream is to win the Champions League again," Messi said during a presentation at PSG.
Messi has left Barcelona - the club he joined at the age of 13 - after failing to agree a new deal with him, due to La Liga rules spending at the club's own expense.
One of the greatest players of the century, he scored 672 goals in 778 for Spain.
He has won the Ballon d'Or six times and won 35 trophies at the Nou Camp, and said: "I'm delighted to hit a new milestone in my career after leaving Barcelona.
Messi has signed a two-year deal with the option of a one-year extension if he plays for Paris St Germain.
In an effort to see PSG win the Champions League, the club have taken on Champions League winners Sergio Ramos, Georginio Wijnaldum and Messi.
